Update on Working Practice - 01 / 11 / 2020

With the second national lock-down announced yesterday by the Government due to come into force from Thursday 5th November we wanted to update you on our working procedures.

Our business is classified as 'Other Construction' and we are still very much open for business however strict social distancing and PPE precautions are in place. Home surveys and shutter installations can still be carried out; prior to any appointment however we will call you in advance and ask you to confirm no members of your household have had any COVID symptoms in the past 7 days. We are also monitoring our small staff team to ensure the same. We would ask all our customers to respect social distancing measures within their own home as our shutter professionals do.

Appropriate face coverings and gloves will be worn by all our staff members while in your property. We would kindly ask that all personal items which may impede measuring or fitting of our window shutters are removed from the window sill and immediate area to avoid unnecessary contact. It is a difficult time for all at the moment and everyone of us here hopes all of our customers are staying safe. 

 

 

 

A new safe way of working - 18 / 05 / 2020

Covid-19 has affected everyone in every country around the world. Here at the Cotswold Shutter Co we have implemented procedures to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. Health and safety is our main priority which is why we have taken additional steps to safeguard everyone.

Are we still able to conduct home surveys & installations?

Yes - Our industry is classified as construction meaning we are able to continue operating in the same way with additional precautions. Home surveys, quotations and installations can still be carried out following strict government guidelines.

All of our staff will be wearing the appropriate PPE for all home visits and installations. In addition, after surveying or installing your shutters all surfaces will be cleaned with the appropriate equipment. We will ask you to confirm prior to any home survey or installation that there are no confirmed or suspected coronavirus cases within your household. We continue to monitor the government guidelines and will adopt any new measures and working practices recommended.

What is our current lead time?

In normal circumstances our lead time is 6-8 weeks however supply chains around the world have been dramatically affected and our current lead time is 8-12 weeks. Please bare in mind this is guidance only and some orders may be quicker or slower. We are working hard to minimise the impact and will communicate all scheduled deliveries with you.
